A Brief History In 1967 when Fr. P.T Arulappa was the Parish Priest at Adyar, he made efforts to visit some of the coastal between Thiruvanmiyur and Kannathur. In 1967 he started a Social Service Center near Neelangarai and purchased 1.46 acres of land in Injambakkam near Vettuvankanni. For sometime the Social Service Center was used as the Church for the people around the place. In 1979, it was made a Parish and Rev. Fr. George Thekkedam was the first Parish Priest. Later in 1987 Rev.Fr.C.V. Thomas constructed the Church at Vettuvankenni. In 2005 the Parish celebrated the Silver Jubilee. The Parish Annual feast is celebrated on 26th July.
